About This Cause
A community is only as strong as the people who call it home. Strengthening individuals and families is what drives United Way. United Way collaborates with individuals and organizations to tackle our community's most pressing issues. We assist local organizations in meeting their social responsibility goals and connect people of all ages and abilities to opportunities to give back to their community. We convene resources, volunteers, experts, and other service providers for short-term relief and long-term success. We know that one organization can’t solve our communities’ toughest challenges alone. We know it takes all of us, working together, to make a difference in the lives of so many that live right here in our neighborhoods. When we come together, we don’t just respond to the challenges of today. We create lasting solutions that shape our community for generations to come. *United is the way we end family homelessness. *United is the way we reduce barriers to employment and start someone on a stable career path. *United is the way we bridge the digital divide. *United is the way we provide mental wellness support and services so that high school students are equipped to face life’s challenges. For over 115 years, our United Way has had one simple purpose: help people live better lives.
