Mission Statement

Junior Achievement’s mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed. We accomplish this by recruiting and training local community volunteers to teach K-12 students about financial literacy, career/work readiness and entrepreneurship. JA partners with educators and volunteers to connect the classroom with the real world. This collaboration prepares students of all ages for successful financial futures and self-supporting careers. Goals are to build skills for financial stability, solid career planning and skills for the workplace.

About This Cause

Junior Achievement of Wisconsin is the state’s largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their futures, and make smart academic and economic choices. JA programs are delivered by corporate and community volunteers, and provide relevant, hands-on experiences that give students from kindergarten through high school knowledge and skills in financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship. Over the past 5 years, the twelve area offices of Junior Achievement of Wisconsin have engaged a dedicated core of more than 8,000 volunteers to serve an average of 141,000 students per year.
