Milwaukee Repertory Theater ignites positive change in the cultural, social, and economic vitality of its community by creating world-class theater experiences that entertain, provoke, and inspire meaningful dialogue among an audience representative of Milwaukee’s rich diversity.
About This Cause
In fulfillment of the mission and the desire to live by our core values of Quality, Inclusion, Citizenship, Innovation, and Sustainability, we have created a compelling vision for the future of Milwaukee Repertory Theater. We imagine a time when the eclectic nature of work on and off our stages, including extant works of significance and vital new dramatic works, through Milwaukee Rep-driven commissions, development, and production, will not only continue to excite existing audiences but will also attract new attendees to theater experiences of deep relevance to all members of our populace. Through these works, and alongside our endeavors in community engagement and training, we will have developed an institution that truly reflects the diversity of our region, among all stakeholders. We will therefore have enriched the quality of life for the residents of our city and its surrounding areas, become a source of enormous local pride, and an organization that is widely regarded as artistically, politically, and socially open to the world.
