Mission Statement
Removing barriers for pets and their people by providing a continuum of expert care, education, and connections to community resources.
About This Cause
Established in 1891, the Fox Valley Humane Association (FVHA) is the second oldest humane society in Wisconsin. With a mission of removing barriers for pets and their people by providing a continuum of expert care, education, and connections to community resources, FVHA is committed to serving both animals and the people who love them. FVHA provides traditional shelter programs, including pet adoption, fostering, volunteer opportunities, stray animal services, and lost and found assistance. We also offer a range of community centered medical and support services that aim to keep pets in their homes and out of shelters. Key Programs and Services: · Low-Cost Community Vaccine Clinics – Accessible preventive veterinary care · SNAP (Spay and Neuter Assistance Program) – Pet population control through affordable spay/neuter services · TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return Program) – Community cat population management · Veterinary Services for Partner Shelters & Rescues · Temporary Boarding Programs – Providing short-term housing for pets whose guardians are experiencing incarceration, homelessness, or hospitalization. · Domestic Violence Support Partnership – Veterinary care for pets of survivors · Pet Food Pantry – Supplies for families in need · Low-Cost End-of-Life Services – Compassionate and affordable euthanasia and cremation services · Rabies Quarantine Services – Public safety and compliance with local regulations At FVHA, our ultimate goal is to preserve the human-animal bond. Our integrated approach addresses both medical and socioeconomic needs, and we serve as a trusted, inclusive community resource.
