SF3 – Society for the Furtherance & Study of Fantasy & Science Fiction – is the nonprofit corporation that shelters and provides benefits to the science fiction & fantasy fiction related activities of its members. The world’s first feminist science fiction convention, WisCon, is the most active and public project under the SF3 umbrella.

SF3 – Society for the Furtherance & Study of Fantasy & Science Fiction – is the nonprofit corporation that shelters and provides benefits to the science fiction & fantasy fiction related activities of its members. The world’s first feminist science fiction convention, WisCon, is the most active and public project under the SF3 umbrella. SF3 raises funds to make our convention more accessible in every way possible - to keep registration costs low, to provide transcription services, to fund our $1 child care, and to supplement our Member Assistance Fund, which offers financial aid to people who would otherwise be unable to attend. Our conversations are richer the more diverse the participants, and we know that removing barriers creates better experiences for all.
