Mission Statement
Summit is a volunteer based tutoring and mentoring program that supports and empowers inner-city students and their parents to succeed through A. V.I.P. service that stands for Academics, Virtues, by means of Individual Attention and Parent support.
About This Cause
For grade school students Summit offers after school and weekend tutoring programs, an 8 week long, 5 day per week, summer program that includes 1/2 day of academics, 1/2 day of sports, weekly excursions, career speakers, and individual advising and character talks. For high school students Summit offers weekly meetings that explores careers and colleges through career talks and tours by means of partnerships with local businesses, college visits, and summertime employment as junior coaches.
