A Place of Refuge Ministries provides advocacy and housing for pregnant women in need.
About This Cause
A Place of Refuge Ministries is a Crisis Pregnancy Advocacy Service and Shelter serving South Wisconsin and beyond. When mothers connect with us they are assigned a volunteer advocate who works with them throughout their pregnancy and beyond...helping them find area resources and sharing resources collected by and friends, churches, groups and businesses. Refuge House, a shelter where women and children can stay during a woman’s pregnancy and up to 9 mos. afterward, provides even more intensive care. At Refuge House, the needs of the women and children we serve are taken care of so that they can complete their educations, find employment and prepare to provide for the needs of their families with the help of the many programs we offer both inside and outside of the home. We also run Blessed Again Resale Shop, providing low-cost items for our moms and the community while raising funds for our ministry. Blessed Again is located at 7624 W. Hampton Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53218 Our ministry is supported by individuals, churches, businesses and other organizations. Volunteer support as well as monetary support and donated items are always welcome. Volunteers are always needed at Blessed Again and to do servant events at Refuge House.
