Mission Statement

Our mission is to continue to educate the public on this beautiful, loyal, majestic and extremely intelligent breed. To rehabilitate and re-home as many German Shepherds as possible to give these dogs a second chance.

About This Cause

Mit Liebe is German for "with love." We are a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization started in 1998 by Anita Delzer. Her motto was, "Save one, until there are none." She worked tirelessly to save hundreds of animals until her passing in August of 2019. She had a special affinity for the German Shepherd breed. Her legacy lives on as her pack of volunteers and her loving family continue to help a breed of dog with intelligence, loyalty, devotion and honor. The rescue continues to thrive and grow as we carry out Anita's vision to save every animal until they all have a loving home. We rescue and rehabilitate German Shepherd dogs. They come into the rescue from shelters or as owner surrenders. Many have behavioral or medical issues. We place these dogs in foster homes to rehabilitate and prepare them for integrating into a new family home. We currently have no facility and there are no paid positions in this rescue. This is a foster and volunteer based organization. Every dollar we raise goes back to the dogs. We operate out of Green Bay, Wisconsin and we place dogs primarily in Wisconsin, Northern Illinois and Upper Michigan.
