CIVIC MUSIC MKE supports music education and provides performance opportunities for young musicians in the greater Milwaukee area.
About This Cause
Our unique mission of supporting music education and providing performance opportunities for young musicians in the greater Milwaukee area places a strong emphasis on reaching underserved youth in our area and celebrating the teachers who lift them up from their daily challenges by showing them the joy of music. Our vision is to ignite a child’s potential by nurturing the passion for music making. Celebrating our 105th season, CIVIC MUSIC MKE’s programs include the PRIVATE LESSON PROGRAM for younger students with financial need, and the HIGH SCHOOL COMPETITION and Showcase Recital for advanced musicians. We also present the EDUCATOR AWARDS, recognizing inspiring music teachers and administrators who support music in our schools, the CITIZEN AWARDS, honoring Milwaukee area people who have been instrumental is the strength of music in our area and the HIGH SCHOOL AWARDS, an opportunity for educators to recognize their outstanding students.
