About This Cause
Partnership Resources, Inc. (PRI) is a nonprofit social service organization with both Day and Employment Services licenses, which has served adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) for over 60 years. Founded as The School for Social Development in 1958, it focused primarily on job training and placement, along with independent living skills. In 1990, the agency changed its name to Partnership Resources, Inc. having recognized the value of collaboration for maximum client benefit. The agency operates out of three locations; one in St. Louis Park, one in Golden Valley and one in Minneapolis, serving just over 300 adults many of whom reside in either Minneapolis or within Hennepin County, but also serving those throughout the seven county metro area suburbs. Approximately 98% of those receiving services from PRI participate in community activities. PRI is dedicated to developing supports and providing opportunities that help individuals with IDD to work, develop creatively, and achieve their goals. Individual growth is at the heart of PRI and through person centered planning, service recipients are offered multiple opportunities to grow, try new things, and develop skills. The agency matches services to individual interests, strengths, and abilities in the key areas of employment, community integration, health and wellness, the arts, advocacy and inclusion.
