90% of children with congenital heart defects lack access to adequate medical care. We train doctors and nurses worldwide to diagnose, treat and save lives.
About This Cause
Children’s HeartLink’s “theory of change” is that by investing in the quality, complexity and volume of pediatric cardiac cases served through our partner site relationships, more children around the globe will have access to quality care they so desperately need. We work with teams of medical volunteers who provide training and education to our partners, and treatment for local children. Our volunteers come from some of the world’s finest medical institutions in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Singapore. Last year gifts from our friends and supporters made it possible for our medical volunteers to train over 1,400 pediatric cardiac specialists in the six countries where we work, and 84,000 children received patient visits, surgeries and procedures at our hospital partner sites. Together, we are reaching more children with heart disease and making a lasting impact around the world.
