About This Cause
Volunteers of America is a non-profit health and human services organization committed to serving people in need, strengthening families, and building communities. Since 1896, Volunteers of America Minnesota and Wisconsin has continually evolved to support our community’s most underestimated individuals. We are creating a new model for human services that strives to deliver solutions that address a spectrum of intersecting needs—from education to housing to health to employment—while continually investing in our capacity to innovate and improve. Our core competency is to serve our constituents by enhancing, supporting, and transforming their lives so they gain self-reliance, dignity and hope. We are known for serving particularly hard-to-serve and high-needs individuals, anchoring our work in evidence-based practice and trauma-informed care. We boldly look towards the future and challenge inequities while generating powerful results that impact the lives of 22,000 people annually.
