Mission Statement
As a Christian nonprofit organization, Feed My Starving Children is called to feed God’s starving children hungry in body and spirit. You will hear us say this again and again: “We want to reach everyone, until ALL are fed.” We truly mean this. This means reaching the hard-to-reach people and places, the “least of these.” They will be found, and they will be fed. With God’s help we will work together with organizations and ministries across the globe to end hunger.
About This Cause
Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a Christian nonprofit dedicated to seeing every child and person around the world healthy, nourished and whole in body and spirit. We believe no child should go hungry. Every child deserves a nutritious meal, every day. What Makes Us Different Firmly Christ-centered The Gospel is the reason Feed My Starving Children exists. We strive to follow the will of Jesus Christ every day in all we do. Pioneering food formulas FMSC’s nutritious MannaPack™ meal formulas are specifically designed to assist in preventing and reversing undernutrition by providing essential nutrients a child needs to gain strength and health. Strong in-country partnerships We donate FMSC meals to an exceptional network of missions and humanitarian organizations that ensure the meals get to those who need them most. Building strong communities Food is the foundation for all other progress. To a starving child, hope can only begin once a reliable source of nutritious food has been established. Food assistance is vital in order to transition individuals, families and communities out of chronic hunger and poverty and into self-sufficiency. Powerful volunteer experience Volunteers like you hand-pack and pay for every FMSC meal. We don’t use machines to package FMSC meals because we realize the personal, impactful experience created by packing the meals by hand. Your hands are the last to touch the food before it reaches hungry kids around the world. We couldn’t do this work without you. Efficiency Your gift goes a long way in the fight against world hunger. • Each meal costs 29 cents. • $106 feeds a child for an entire year. • More than 91 percent of every dollar donated goes directly toward feeding kids. • More than 99 percent of FMSC meals have safely reached their intended destination. • FMSC consistently receives the highest awards for accountability and transparency from Charity Navigator.
