About This Cause
The Performance Excellence Network is a non-profit, membership-driven organization serving Minnesota and the Dakotas. Our purpose is inspiring, advancing, and sustaining performance excellence. PEN was founded as the Minnesota Council for Quality, Inc. in 1987, as a result of Minnesota Governor Perpich’s 1985-86 Commission on Minnesota’s Economic Future. Our mission then was to improve quality, productivity, and competitiveness of Minnesota businesses. Today, we serve all types and sizes of organizations -- businesses, healthcare systems and facilities, education institutions, nonprofit and governmental agencies --helping them improve and sustain outcomes.
