About This Cause
About Rain Taxi Founded in 1996, Rain Taxi is a literary organization committed to artistic diversity, cultural relevance, and widespread access. We’re a small group that does a lot of big things, including: 1. Publishing the award-winning print quarterly Rain Taxi Review of Books and the accompanying website www.raintaxi.com, both connecting readers to books of merit that might otherwise get overlooked. 2. Distributing free copies of the review are distributed at select independent bookstores and literary centers across the nation, and access to our online content is also free! 3. Organizing the Rain Taxi Reading Series and the annual Twin Cities Book Festival, both of which bring literature to life and provide a public celebration of the literary arts. 4. Providing important resources like the Twin Cities Literary Calendar, which lists all events happening in our home region, and our Pedagogy Pages, for teachers and students who want to use Rain Taxi in the classroom. With coverage of fiction, poetry, nonfiction, art, graphic novels, translations, and more, Rain Taxi exists for readers and writers, small presses and literary publishers, independent booksellers and arts educators, and kindred organizations who want books to keep flourishing in a distracted society.
