Mission Statement
Conservation Corps Minnesota & Iowa cultivates a community of emerging leaders in service to people and the planet.
About This Cause
Conservation Corps Minnesota & Iowa is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and AmeriCorps grantee that engages hundreds of youth and young adults every year in programs and initiatives that improve access to outdoor recreation, restore natural habitat, protect waterways, and respond to community needs and natural disasters. With our partners, we provide emerging leaders in Minnesota & Iowa meaningful service opportunities focused on environmental stewardship, leadership and workforce skills, and an ongoing community dedicated to service. Your support will directly fuel vital conservation work in Minnesota & Iowa through trail building, workforce development, wildland firefighting, habitat restoration, and much more! In 2024, Conservation Corps members planted over 60,000 trees and shrubs, improved and restored nearly 30,000 acres of land, and constructed or maintained nearly 400 miles of trails. Our supporters help leave a lasting impact on the lives of our Corpsmembers, the communities we serve, and our public lands. “My intention was to get some natural resources experience while doing a year-long service term, but I never could have expected how much this year would change me. I’ve learned so much, met awesome people, and overcome challenges I never thought I was capable of. Believe me, I wouldn’t trade this year for anything.” -Madeline, 2022 AmeriCorps member Together, we can continue to provide emerging leaders with meaningful service opportunities and workforce development skills, while benefiting the public lands of Minnesota and Iowa.
