Mission Statement
The mission of the Washington DC Police Foundation is to bring together business, professional, civic and nonprofit organizations and individual citizens to promote public safety by providing financial and in-kind resources to the Chief of Police and the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD). Our goal is to make Washington, DC a safer place to live, work and visit for everyone.
About This Cause
The Washington DC Police Foundation works to support key unmet public safety needs and programs as identified by the Chief of Police of the Metropolitan Police Department. We do this by providing direct support to MPD and we engage directly in public safety policy initiatives of the city, with a large emphasis on youth programming. Our programmatic efforts can be summarized in four different categories: 1. MPD Programs 2. Junior Cadet Program 3. Classrooms to Careers 4. Capital Campaign Initiatives
