About This Cause
The Minnesota Lions Vision Foundation works to help the blind and visually impaired. Through our support of Lions Gift of Sight (formerly Minnesota Lions Eye Bank) and our collaboration with the University of Minnesota’s Department of Ophthalmology (Lions Children's Eye Clinic, Lions Macular Degeneration Center, Lions Eye Surgery Center, vision research), the Foundation helps countless people every day. The Foundation is affiliated with Lions Clubs International, the largest service club organization in the world, having 45,000 clubs and 1.35 million members worldwide. Founded in 1917, Lions Clubs International is best known for fighting blindness. In addition to helping in their communities, Lions members conduct vision screenings, equip hospitals and clinics, distribute medicine, and raise awareness of eye disease.
