Mission Statement
Twin Cities Opera Guild funds music and opera education programs for children in the Twin Cities and outlying areas, including eastern North Dakota and western Wisconsin.
About This Cause
Twin Cities Opera Guild funds opera and music education programs for children by giving grants for programs in the schools, bringing students to dress rehearsals, workshops and choir programs, and by supporting musicals by and for children in elementary and middle schools. With school budgets now eliminating funds for music education, demand for our programs has increased. In 2015 we granted $83,000 for music education for children, reaching over 21,000 kids. Programs are presented by professional musicians and organizations like VocalEssence, Cantus, St Paul Conservatory of Music, Skylark Opera and many school programs.
