Family Resources has been providing a safe place for individuals, children and families to receive the supportive services they need since 1849. Most of the people that come to us are suffering from short or long-term disruptions to their mental health and daily functioning as a result of experiencing, or witnessing, physical abuse, sexual abuse or other forms of violence in their homes, or in their communities. Our goal is to help them heal from that trauma and restore a sense of safety and well-being in their lives. We believe that by supporting individuals and families in this way, we also make the communities we serve stronger. Our main service location is located in Davenport and the majority of the clients we serve are from Scott County. We also have offices in Clinton, Muscatine, and Moline. Through a variety of community partnerships, we have established several other satellite offices throughout Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois in order to reduce barriers to services for our clients in rural areas. A summary of our main services includes: 1. Behavioral and Mental Health Services 2. Comprehensive Survivor Services and Emergency Shelter/Housing Services for those affected by violent crimes (domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, homicide and other violent crimes) 3. Foster and Adoption Services 4. Coordinated Assessment Services for Youth Family Resources has been accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) for all services it provides since the early 1970’s. In addition, we are members of both the Illinois and Iowa Coalitions Against Sexual Abuse and Domestic Violence.
