Mission Statement
Animal Lifeline of Iowa is a special needs, no kill animal shelter that helps dogs and cats that are abused, injured, handicapped, have a serious medical condition, pregnant & nursing moms and orphan babies that need to be bottle fed. For most of the animals we help, we are their only chance at survival. Once healthy, animals are placed up for adoption. We operate solely on donations and the proceeds from our thrift shop. We receive no government funding.
About This Cause
Founded in 1987, Animal Lifeline has been helping cats and dogs in need in Iowa and throughout the Midwest. In addition to a small paid staff, we utilize a large number of volunteers at both our shelter and thrift shop. The cats and dogs we help would have little to no chance of survival if they went to a traditional shelter. Fund Raising event, our thrift shop and donations make our work possible.
