Mission Statement
SSEF connects South Sudanese refugees and their families to educational enrichment and community resources in order to support a strong transition to life in the US and foster self-sufficiency.
About This Cause
The Mission of South Sudanese Enrichment for Families is to support South Sudanese who have resettled in the Boston-area in becoming self-sufficient and stable in their transition to life in the US. We do this by connecting them and their children with the following resources: accessible pre-school, summer camp opportunities, community-based enrichment, housing programs, and our Saturday Bridges Program—whole-family educational sessions that meet throughout the academic year. Through our Outreach Program, Boston-area South Sudanese deliver instructive presentations at schools, universities, churches, and corporations, sharing their powerful refugee story and rich culture with the public while providing valuable insight into issues currently impacting South Sudan.
