To mentor teenage girls and help develop their character and skills as they grow into womanhood.
About This Cause
L.A.N.E.S. Teenage Girls, Inc. provides teenaged girls a safe, adult-led environment for candid discussions about education, respect, discipline, self-control, self-esteem, leadership, and good decision-making. The organization was built on a foundation of teaching teen girls the core values of courage, ownership, respect for self, respect for others, and taking extra steps to succeed in one’s goals. The entire program is free to all participants and every meeting session includes breakfast, lunch, or dinner for the girls. L.A.N.E.S. Teenage Girls, Inc. is a 501(c)(3), all-volunteer organization; there are no paid staff members. L.A.N.E.S. Teenage Girls, Inc. offers programs for girls in grades 6 through 12 and meetings are held during the school year: August through May. The programs offer self-esteem and confidence building, character development, leadership skills development, and preparation workshops for life after high school.
