Mission Statement
Wild Lilac Child Development Community offers high quality, inclusive, culturally competent, and accessible early childhood education and comprehensive family support to the Southeast Portland community.
About This Cause
Our nonprofit early childhood program serves over one hundred diverse children, ages birth to kindergarten, in an inclusive setting rooted in environmental and arts-based education where children are known and honored as individuals and as a whole community. We invite you to visit our website, www.wildlilac.org, to learn more about our early childhood program. We are doing amazing work alongside our youngest learners, building a foundation for a better world from the grassroots up in our community. We are dreaming of a number of projects that would enrich the education of hundreds of children for years to come, including: 1. Outfitting an outdoor clay studio, including tables, tools, and a kiln for firing our own pottery. 2. Enriching our music education program through purchasing a variety of instruments for children. 3. Creating a theater stage to support early literacy, visual and performing arts education. 4. Depaving and "nature-scaping" our play yards to provide access to more green space for our students. Thank you so much for considering donating to our early childhood education program.
