About This Cause

DistinXion is a non-profit organization founded by Luke Zeller and the Zeller family to provide an integration of elite character and sports training to help build family relationships. We are dedicated to not only developing better athletes, but better people and stronger families through basketball camps, private training, teams, speaking engagements, and tournaments. Our staff and volunteers are dedicated to serving communities around the country with one mission in mind: to make a positive impact on the athletic culture by building up families and developing positive character in young athletes. For as long as they can remember, basketball has been an integral part of the entire Zeller family. With three brothers earning the title of “Mr. Indiana Basketball”, three Division 1 Basketball Scholarships, three NBA contracts, and a number of other awards and recognitions, athletic culture has always been part of the Zeller family. From grade school and throughout their professional careers, the Zellers have been known for their positive influence on others, as well as their hard work and dedication on and off the court. Unfortunately, their experience has also included seeing the common negative aspects of athletic culture. In an attempt to prevent similar experiences in future generations of athletes, the Zeller family created DistinXion. DistinXion launched its pilot year in 2009 with one camp, and it has grown exponentially every year. The unexpected demand for more camps and services including teams in the AAU competitive realm has allowed DistinXion to continue the mission of making a positive impact through the achievement of the DistinXion goals, including: - Developing character and sport skills - Facilitating relationships with campers, parents, student-athletes, partners, coaches, and sponsors, - Empowering others physically, relationally, and spiritually. The DistinXion staff is committed to these goals and to the overall mission of making a positive impact in the families of our communities. “Being positively different” is not only DistinXion’s motto, but also the DistinXion standard.
