Mission Statement
We put children and adults back on the water fishing after a storm in their lives have taken that simply joy away.
About This Cause
We hand out Magic Wands. To a child a fishing pole is a magic wand, every cast, every tug could lead to treasure at the other end. When a storm hits a community, hits a home, one of the last things replaced, or even thought of, is a kid's fishing pole, and yet it is that pole that a child may cherish, that pole may be the only thing normal left in their young lives. Tackle The Storm Foundation puts the magic wand back into a child's hand, we take them fishing, we get their parents or other loved ones back on the water as well. It's the moment back at the pond, back at the river near their house, their dock, that for a moment lets them escape the destruction around them...and simply for a few hours...be a kid once again looking for treasure at the end of the line in the water.
