Mission Statement
Connecting Champions asks kids with cancer, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" and connects them with a mentor for the cancer journey.
About This Cause
We’ve paired children, teens, and young adults with mentors from 50 professions — everything from ghost hunters to constitutional lawyers! 84% of children and adolescents survive cancer, but research shows they survive with significant developmental side effects as a result of intense treatment and social isolation. Our evidence-based, outcomes-driven approach helps children better survive the cancer journey. Through our historic partnerships with children’s hospitals in Ohio, Michigan, New York, West Virginia, and Pittsburgh, we have helped hundreds of kids and young adults (ages 3-22) across the country.
