Mission Statement
We build youth leadership to end mass incarceration and promote peace. Since 2009, UPM has been on the forefront of the movement against youth incarceration. Our campaigns lift up solutions for community based safety and alternatives to incarceration.
About This Cause
We envision a future where young people in Oakland and the Bay Area are healthy, thriving, and self-determined. Oakland youth, their families, and communities deserve support and investment. We want to see healing centers, places for culture, joy, and celebration, and increased economic opportunity for our community.
