Mission Statement
Our Mission is to improve the conditions for Pit Bull type dogs in Northern Indiana through education, public awareness and by providing resources for Pit Bulls in need.
About This Cause
We are a small foster based rescue in northern Indiana that currently focuses on pulling community safe pit bulls from area shelters and adopting them into great family homes. There have even been special circumstances when we provide temporary compassionate fostering for people who are having medical, financial or housing difficulties. We will keep their dog until they are back on their feet at no charge. Our goal is to always try and help people keep their pets. Whether it is by offering temporary fostering, guidance for behavioral issues or directing them towards a local low cost spay/neuter clinic, that also provides reduced cost veterinary care. We think it is so important to spay and neuter that we will not adopt out a dog that hasn't been, nor will we place a dog into a home that has other animals that are not fixed. Having our own building to work out of is another dream of ours. There are many challenges when doing meet and greets with potential adopters and having dogs located all over the city. A fully staffed facility would ease the challenge we face with coordinating the adoption counselor, perspective adopter and foster schedules. We also hope to be able to offer our own clicker training classes in the future at a reduced cost in this building. We thank every person who chooses to help us achieve our dream!
