Mission Statement

Our Mission is to provide educational resources and opportunities to students of Guinean descent by providing them with financial and material support. Our special focus is to provide scholarships to high performing and promising students to attend schools and universities in Guinea and around the world.

About This Cause

The Guinean Alliance for Education and Development (GAED) is a tax exempt organization under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. It is incorporated in Washington, District of Columbia and is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. The Alliance believes by investing in human capital, a nation ensures future quality leadership, a skilled workforce, and sustainable economic development. It is our belief that children, regardless of their sex, religion, race, ethnicity or socio-economic background be educated, empowering him/her with better opportunities and choices in life. The Alliance will encourage Guinean scholar beneficiaries of our scholarships to study abroad and return to Guinea to work in both the public and private sector, thus contributing to the development of our country. We are, and will work with universities here in the US and around the world to provide these scholarships. We seek the support of public and private organizations, governments, and all people of good faith around the world to help us in accomplishing our goals.
