Mission Statement
The Casey Young Foundation has two missions: 1. To help prevent SUDC from happening in any other family through research and advocacy 2. To bring music and the arts into the lives of toddlers and their families who wouldn't otherwise have that opportunity
About This Cause
Our daughter, Casey Allyn Young, passed away in her sleep, suddenly and unexpectedly, on June 3rd, 2011 at the age of 21 months. We don't know how or why she died. The official cause of death was ruled to be natural and unexplained; SUDC (Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood). The inexplicable and sudden loss of Casey is unimaginable. The fear of not knowing how and why is paralyzing. It is our dream and hope that no other family will ever have to go through what we went through, and continue to go through. We miss her smile, humor, voice, cuddles and kisses. We miss holding her hand, singing her songs, reading books with her; watching her grow along side her sister. We miss the future that will never be hers; never be ours. We created The Casey Young Foundation to honor Casey's memory, her love of music, and to help prevent SUDC from happening in any other family.
