The mission of Greater Apostolic Temple, Inc. is to effectuate positive change in the lives of people by bringing quality of life, and life changing hope through Jesus Christ.
About This Cause
Greater Apostolic Temple is a certified 501(c)3 organization. Our mission is to effectuate a positive change in the lives of people by bringing hope, opportunity, and assistance to economically and socially challenged children, youth, men, women, and families. Since 1984, we have been involved with community outreach bringing hope to the Southeastern Michigan area, as well as other Michigan cities, including Cassopolis and Albion. We are located in the heart of one of the most economically stricken neighborhoods on the eastside of Detroit, which is our primary service area. We strive to make a difference in our community through these primary areas: Provide meals; Mentor youth and young adults through job work and life skills training, and hands on work experience; Engage the youth in recreational activities year-round to enhance teamwork, build social skills, and learn effective ways of communication; Educational assistance through tutoring and scholarship assistance for high school and college students. In 2020 during the early onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, we developed a Covid-19 Awareness program to hold community meetings to discuss scientific information and overcoming vaccine hesitancy, as well as the distribution of personal protection equipment (PPE). To this end, we strive to foster change, and create a culture of hope, help and opportunity for all to succeed.
