Mission Statement
Partners Driving STEM (PDS) is the registered dba of a 501c3 charitable organization, Ten80 Foundation, Inc. The mission of this non-profit group is to help students cultivate STEM literacy and skills with the same rigor, passion and investment that we often reserve for sports.
About This Cause
The primary Ten80 Foundation (dba Partners Driving STEM) goal is to expand the number of students inspired to engage in STEM learning because it is relevant to their lives and to provide content and support to channel that inspiration into real academic and emotional success in their chosen fields. Our engineers, techs, and educators work with Kindergarten through college students to build a comfort level with mathematics, math modeling, science and problem solving through STEM project based learning. Get hands on with architecture through K-2 STEAMstart. Move to data based decision making with radio controlled race cars in Grades 3-5 Driving STEM. Work with middle and high school students in the (inter)National STEM League: drive 40mph race cars; teach drone curriculum; introduce coding with hands on rovers; and assist budding graphic designers and Solidworks novices. From after school programs and summer camps to professional development, Partners Driving STEM believes that public-private partnerships are the best way to increase access to -and love of- science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
