About This Cause
Premier Payee is a non-profit organization that provides services and support to individuals with special needs in central Iowa. We provide an array of support services to persons with intellectual disabilities, traumatic brain injury and chronic mental illness. Premier Payee is an approved Medicaid provider. Waiver & Home Based Habilitation Services These Medicaid programs are designed to support and encourage individuals to live as independently as possible in their own homes and in the community they desire. Staff is available to provide individualized hourly services at times that are convenient to the individual served. The goal of the program is to help the individuals learn various skills each of us acquire to live on our own, so individuals feel more self-sufficient and have more freedom with their choices. Premier also wants individuals to increase their involvement in the community. The program provides training to help people develop or regain skills of daily living such as: Home management skills Social and leisure skills Medical support services Health and wellness education Managing mental health symptoms Financial services Life management/independent living Crisis management and problem solving Apartment maintenance Development of natural support systems Transportation coordination Advocacy Representative Payee Services & Bill Paying Services Premier Payee, Inc. representative payee services provides services to persons receiving Social Security, VA, or Railroad benefits. These services are designed to assist persons with managing their finances, so they are able to continue to live as independently as possible within the community they desire. Premier Payee Inc is an approved organizational payee and follows Social Security guidelines. Premier Payee Inc staff work with individuals to develop a budget that meets their needs by: Establishing budgets Managing the payee bank account Advocating with case managers, landlords, and other parties involved Paying rent and other ongoing expenses directly to help ensure stability for the individual being served Provide personal spending money per the budget Communicating with the person and their team as needed to insure financial needs are being met
