TransFamilies inspires hope, increases understanding, and creates a visible pathway to support trans and gender-diverse children and all those who touch their lives.
About This Cause
We know that the most resilient trans and gender diverse youth are those who have supportive parents/caregivers. But when trans/nonbinary children come out, their caregivers can feel a wide range of emotions from overwhelmed or frightened to confused and exuberant about how to best support them. TransFamilies supports parents/caregivers of trans/nonbinary children of all ages, youth in those families, and the providers, teachers, and other professionals who want to make the world a better place for gender diverse youth. We believe in leading with our heart first and compassionately meeting people where they are. Our programming includes virtual support for parents/caregivers and their trans/nonbinary youth; including groups, current and accurate research, and guidance. Supporting TransFamilies means supporting children, supporting families, and supporting community.
