Mission Statement
The Friends of Peninsula Park Rose Garden seeks to protect and enhance Portland, Oregon's (the City of Roses) first public rose garden for the next one hundred years.
About This Cause
To sustain and improve the Rose Garden’s biological health, physical assets, and community investment, our organization aims to: * Build and enhance a self-sustaining volunteer program * Maintain stunning roses and develop strategies to mitigate climate change impact * Preserve the Garden’s historical legacy (designed by Olmsted Brothers) * Support the Garden as a “town square” and raise its profile * Finance the the 100-year vision for the preservation and enhancement of the Garden
