Mission Statement
All kids deserve the opportunity to be active, have fun and meaningfully interact with others. Bustin Barriers provides safe physical activities and socialization experiences for kids with disabilities - creating opportunities for kids to have fun and strive toward their personal best. BB offers summer camps, adapted basketball tournaments for high school, transition program (18-21) students and middle school special ed athletes as well as a new soccer program, beginning in 2018.
About This Cause
Bustin Barriers' (BB) mission is to provide safe physical activities and meaningful socialization for kids experiencing disability. Kids get to be active, have fun and strive toward their personal best. Accomplishments bust the barriers of doubt, misperception and fear - for program participants and the community at large. Trained volunteers, both those who experience disability and those who are not disabled, work alongside one another, helping BB program participants play sports and games, feel comfortable trying new activities, enjoy being an active kid and busting a few barriers along the way.
