Mission Statement
This PTA serves the children, families and staff in the Louisa Boren STEM K-8 school community, which includes residences and business in the Louisa Boren STEM K-8 enrollment area.
About This Cause
We are a non-profit PTA organization dedicated to providing support to and creating opportunities to build community for the larger Louisa Boren STEM K-8 community. STEM K-8 is an options school in the Seattle Public Schools district. We serve students from Kindergarten to 8th grade and are located in West Seattle. The PTA plans and implements community events and fundraises to provide financial support to the broader school community. We provide critical funds for a range of efforts, including but not limited to, the ongoing expansion and diversification of our school library, staff support around our Project Based Learning (PBL) model, scholarships for field trips and enrichment activities to ensure all students are able to participate, support for the work of numerous PTA committees including Race & Equity, LGBTQA+, Membership, etc, and many other areas.
