To provide support, education, advocate, and fund research in the field of misophonia as a non profit charity.
About This Cause
We formed this non profit in 2013 to provide an annual convention in the USA, for sufferers of misophonia which is a neuro-physiological disorder that strikes mostly in childhood and persists for a lifetime. We hold annual conventions where up to 200 members attend and we present the latest data, research, coping and management strategies, information, and much more. We finally hired a part time webmaster after 4 years who works about 5 hours per week, and everyone else on the board and committees are volunteers. This is a new field in medicine and there is an enormous amount of work to do in every area.
