Mission Statement

The Freedom of Flight Museum, Inc. is a developing aerospace museum and educational center located at the Joplin Regional Airport, Joplin, Missouri. The museum's main focus is to preserve local aerospace history and provide educational programs to area youth that will foster an interest in science, technology, engineering and math. Tributes to local military veterans are also featured. The museum serves the four state area of Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.

About This Cause

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN - The museum is located in temporary facilities at the Joplin Regional Airport. Contributions to our capital campaign will go toward building a permanent structure on the airport that will provide adequate display and classroom facilities. EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS - Our current activities include educational field trips to local public, private and home school students. The museum will also provide weekend and after school educational programs at the airport and at remote facilities. These programs are designed to foster and interest in STEM subjects using hands-on aerospace activities. VETERAN TRIBUTES - The museum provides in-depth video tributes about our local military veterans. The tributes feature a comprehensive historical account of their much appreciated service.
