Mission Statement
The PPAS PTA's mission is to provide support and resources to the Professional Performing Arts School for the benefit and educational growth of our students as both developing artists and as citizens of the world. We encourage parent interest in PPAS and its activities, and support a cooperative working relationship between parents and the staff of PPAS. PPAS is a unique, audition-based school within the NYC DOE, that is built upon a successful private-to-public partnership with world renowned arts partners. Our students are incredibly fortunate to learn from professional artists, dancers, singers, actors, and teachers who expertly train and prepare them. As parents, we need to support our children and their educators as best we can. We hope you will join our PPAS parents and teachers seeking to positively improve the daily lives of our students. We encourage and welcome parent participation on all levels.
About This Cause
The PPAS PTA was formed to to provide support and resources to the school for the benefit and educational growth of the students; to promote and help develop a cooperative working relationship between the parents and staff of PPAS; to develop parent leadership and build capacity for greater involvement; to foster and encourage parent participation on all levels; and to provide opportunities and training for parents to participate in school governance and decision-making.
