Our mission is to support people affected by humanitarian crisis. We partner with local communities around the world to provide urgent aid, assist recovery, and reduce the risk of future disasters. Our vision is a world where vulnerable, disaster-affected communities have the strength, support and opportunities they need to recover from humanitarian crisis and build a more resilient future.

About This Cause

IsraAID, founded in 2001, is a non-profit, non-governmental organization committed to providing life-saving disaster relief and long term support. Founded in 2001, IsraAID is an Israel-based international NGO and Humanitarian Aid Agency. IsraAID has worked in more than 52 countries, in both emergency and long-term international development settings. Drawing on an extensive roster of leading Israeli and international experts – including water engineers, trauma and mental health experts, emergency response coordinators, medical professionals, and more - the organization has unique know-how in humanitarian response and development. IsraAID’s professionals design and implement high-quality, cost-effective, and innovative programming that reflects the immediate and long-term needs of communities affected by disasters worldwide. In emergency settings, IsraAID rapidly deploys its teams of experts to directly and effectively respond to the immediate needs of disaster-affected communities. In stabilized post-disaster or post-conflict environments, IsraAID works together with local partners to develop and implement sustainable and innovative solutions that meet the long-term needs of populations, and help them prepare for future crises. IsraAID emphasizes sustainability and local ownership by (1) strengthening the capacity of national service providers working with affected communities, and (2) accompanying them to establish sustainable, community-oriented support mechanisms and services. Over the course of the past fifteen years, IsraAID has built a reputation as a professional actor across crucial professional fields, reflecting the quality of its program delivery and proven ability to develop tailor-made and participatory program design. Livelihood Income-generating activities IsraAID embraces a cross-sectoral approach in its programming to guarantee effective, comprehensive and sustainable outcomes. Disaster risk reduction, protection, and resilience-building principles are integrated into everything we do. There are ongoing programs in the following locations: USA: Puerto Rico, North Carolina Europe: Germany, Greece Latin America and Caribbean: Bahamas, Guatemala, Mexico, Colombia, Dominica Africa: Kenya, South Sudan, Uganda, Mozambique, Zimbabwe Asia & Pacific: Vanuatu In the US, we not only respond to disasters but also train and prepare professionals from different sectors for working in emergencies.
