Mission Statement
Northwest Life Foundation was born one summer from a desire to help the 16,000 kids in the Kent/Renton, WA area who receive a free breakfast and lunch during the school year, but do not have this opportunity in the summer. Our first program, PB&J provided loaves of bread and kid-friendly groceries to kids all summer long. We have continued since 2010 - providing groceries, and a hot meal to families in need every single week, all year-round. From there, we have expanded to add several other events and areas of service. We provide: • Backpacks and school supplies each summer – this year we gave 1500. • Turkeys and Thanksgiving groceries in November – this year we provided for over 1100. • Toys and gifts for kids at Christmas – this year we provided 500 toys. • We work with local schools to mentor at-risk students.
About This Cause
NWLife Foundation exists to restore hope, dignity, and life to our community. We provide food, clothing, and supplies to those in need. NWLife Foundation hosts events throughout the year, including a backpack and school supply giveaway which provides 1500+ backpacks to students in need. We also provide turkeys and groceries at Thanksgiving, presents at Christmas, a Halloween carnival, an Easter egg hunt, and more. In addition to these annual events, we provide groceries on a daily basis to people in need in the south King County area. NWLife Foundation is a local non-profit organization. We have been an active member of the Renton/Kent community for 35 years. NWLife Foundation is a registered charity with 501(c)3 status. WA State Charity ID # 601-019-552 Federal 501(c)3 ID #46-2265261
