Mission Statement

The Foundation for Charitable Activities in Bangladesh (FCAB) is an American non-profit and non-governmental organization whose goal is to facilitate socio-economic development in Bangladesh by non-resident Bangladeshis and others interested in working with the country’s disadvantaged. FCAB will focus first on the entire needs of one village, Bagdumur in Sirajganj district. It will enable financial contributions towards FCAB projects, facilitate the exchange of interns, professionals and volunteers between the United States and Bangladesh, encourage social entrepreneurs and build partnerships with relevant institutions. As its capacity expands, donors may designate which geographic areas and on what projects they would like their donations to be directed.

About This Cause

The Foundation for Charitable Activities in Bangladesh (FCAB) is a non-profit organization incorporated under the laws of Michigan (Registration # 71279F) and as a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt non-profit under the United States Internal Revenue Services (EIN # 46-2270213, DLN: 17053221316033). Its goal is to facilitate socio-economic development in Bangladesh by non-resident Bangladeshis and others interested in serving the country’s disadvantaged. It will enable financial contributions towards FCAB projects, facilitate the exchange of interns, professionals and volunteers between the US and Bangladesh, encourage social entrepreneurs and build partnerships with relevant institutions. FCAB initiated its work in the village of Bagdumur in Sirajganj district, Bangladesh in 2015 with a focus on healthcare and livelihood support but plans to provide services throughout the country as it grows. It has received a Rotary International Global Grant for its Bagdumur project.
