Mission Statement

Tidepool is an open-source, not-for-profit effort to make diabetes data more accessible, actionable, and meaningful by liberating data from diabetes devices, supporting researchers, and providing great software to the diabetes community at no cost.

About This Cause

Tidepool is an open-source, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit effort to make diabetes data more accessible, actionable, and meaningful by liberating data from diabetes devices, supporting researchers, and providing great, free software to the diabetes community. We have built a modern, open-source software platform that liberates data from diabetes devices like blood glucose meters, continuous glucose monitors, and insulin pumps. Tidepool's free software works with devices from Abbott, Animas, Bayer, Dexcom, Medtronic, OmniPod, Tandem, and more. See tidepool.org/devices for a complete list. The Tidepool Uploader is available for Mac and Windows. Tidepool's easy-to-use web and mobile applications allow you and your care team to see all of your data in one place, even if you are using devices from different manufacturers. Tidepool Mobile is available for iOS and Android. Tidepool for web is available at tidepool.org. Tidepool has been working closely with the FDA to build and support a regulated version of Loop, to be available in the iOS App Store, intended to work with commercially available insulin pumps and CGMs.
