About This Cause
The Vicente Ferrer Foundation USA (VFF USA) is a global nonprofit organization with a proven track record of eliminating poverty in the rural communities of Southern India by removing barriers and providing long term, sustainable solutions including workforce development. VFF USA partners with Rural Development Trust (RDT), which has 50 years of experience utilizing a whole-village approach emphasizing self-sufficiency. At the heart of the organization’s mission is to empower the people to build up their own communities, to break down centuries of ingrained discrimination, and to take charge of their own lives. VFF merely serves to identify and remove the barriers to progress. We are changing lives by addressing the interconnected web of issues affecting rural villages: rural infrastructure, health equity, education, and sustainable agriculture.
