Mission Statement
6dogrees Rescue is a small all foster based Washington State 501c3 non profit dog rescue. We are focused on saving last hour and medical dogs from high kill shelters. The dogs we rescue are discarded last hour dogs. 6dogrees provides all vetting and rehabilitation so we can find their forever happy homes, every dog we rescue is placed into a loving foster home until their forever is found. Vetting is 80-90% of what is needed for the dogs we rescue. We are a compassionate, dog loving group giving unwanted dogs a second chance at love. 5-6 million dogs die per year in shelters. Spay and neutering is key!
About This Cause
6dogrees is a small, grassroots rescue focusing on saving local & CA death-row dogs. Why CA? We save “red listed” dogs meaning those with less than 12 hours to be rescued. A good percentage of these dogs end up on the euthanasia list by no fault of their own. Pet stores are over selling dogs, backyard breeders, & puppy mill dogs are a big part of the problem. As they breed the new trendy dogs, these “less desirable” dogs are discarded. The dogs end up in the streets and shelters.
