About This Cause
Portal cargo bicycles are empowering people in Nepal to carry cargo and power small machines. These bicycles are generating income for families and entrepreneurs at the margins of society, empowering them to overcome poverty on their own terms. They also provide a zero emissions means to transport goods and people in Nepal, ranked the most polluted country in the world in 2018 (EPI Report, Yale & Columbia). We are building a scaleable model that can be expanded around the world to empower families and entrepreneurs to overcome poverty and regain agency in their own lives.
