Joplin's Sanctuary is dedicated to providing temporary and permanent shelter along with medical/rehabilitation for animals that have been neglected, abused or abandoned either through acts of cruelty or by natural disaster
About This Cause
Joplin's Sanctuary and Animal Rescue is dedicated to saving animals that have been abused, neglected or abandoned due to human cruelty or by natural disasters. As first responders we have deployed regionally, nationally and internationally in response to various natural or man-made disasters (i.e. oil spills, wildfires) and worked with local veterinarians and communities to rescue and rehabilitate the animals affected. Locally we work with law enforcement, veterinarians, various government agencies and the public to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals who deserve better care and a better home. Our sanctuary has been the temporary home to not only dogs and cats, but also horses, donkeys, llamas, chickens, ducks and other affected species. In all cases we provide the veterinary care, food/water/shelter and socialization that the animal needs to recover and feel loved and worthwhile.
