Mission Statement

Building strong communities by empowering and educating youths

About This Cause

TENEF USA Inc was formed in 2013 to continue promoting the legacy of Nwoko Providence Home through providing educational opportunities to help build strong families and strong communities around the world. The work of Chief Thomas Nwoko in supporting young people to see education as foundation for accessing opportunities as they seek better future for themselves, and their families serves as the building block for the programs of TENEF USA Inc. TENEF USA programs are designed to support youths from underserved communities and motivate them to aspire for higher educational opportunities despite any environmental and socio-economic challenges they might be facing. TENEF works in collaboration with other community-based organizations to provide resources for youth focused programs. TENEF also sponsors Academic Enrichment Programs including information and communication technology (ICT) learning sessions for rural youths (ages 13 to 18). These programs are executed in conjunction with community-based organizations whose mission aligns with TENEF. TENEF has also sponsored Health Education Programs in elementary schools within the rural communities. In 2022, TENEF launched its maiden Scholarship program for first-in-family college bound (FIF-CB) scholars in USA (Houston-Texas Communities), as well as adopted a rural school as its “Legacy Elemental School” to benefit from TENEF’s Learning Environment Improvement Program (LEIP) in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
